I am very very excited about this. After a long long long wait time, I finally received my enrolment acceptance from the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver. I'll be in school from September to December. The pastry program includes everything from tarts, croissants, doughnuts to chocolate work and pulled sugar art. I can't wait to see what I can bring to Bon Gâteau. The course is going to be so intense! Other culinary school's pastry program is at least 6 months long, whereas NWCAV is only 3.5 months.
Because of this intense school scheduling, plus my own 3 little munchkins, I am only able to accept orders over weekends between this time (September to December). Please email me about your requests and I can check with my availability. Hopefully this does not cause too much inconvenience to you all.

Siblings Birthday Cake: James the Train & Princess Aurora
This cake duo is for a return customer. Last year I made a Gundum and Pokemon Cake. This year, the birthday boy wanted a James the Train cake along with some other characters that he likes made of fondant. His little sister wanted the "pink" princess cake along with a Pokemon Shaymin, also handmade in fondant. Hope they like their cakes!

This was a last minute suprise birthday cake customer ordered for his girlfriend. He wanted a dollhouse with multiple chinchillas sitting around. Specifically requested a "fat" white one and a "skinnier" grey one sitting on top of the roof and some little ones around it. This is what I came up with. He really liked it. I hope she did too.

Barbie & Ken themed Birthday Cake
This Barbie & Ken themed cake was for a boy and his mom wanted this theme since his name was Kenneth. I didn't know how to make a Barbie cake for a boy so I decided on the silhouette idea. It works out really well since he's also a photographer and the silhouette kinda resembles fillm negatives?

Unavailable
Hi everyone, it's time for Bon Gâteau to take a little break from all the baking. The last 3 months had been quite busy and my oven needs a rest. I'll be away July 24 to Aug 2. You're still more than welcome to email me and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm back in town. See y'all in a week! Have a great summer!

Cinderella Cake
Again, mother of the birthday girl didn't want to have any fondant. So I tried to ice the dress to mimic how tulle will look and added sparkles to it by flicking my brush. Can you see the bling?

Mini Cupcake Tower
Mother of the birthday girl didn't want to have to "cut" any cakes at the party so she went with 5 dozen mini's instead. The cupcake tower was made to match the color theme of the cupcakes. However, she did have a request to have 1 regular sized cupcake on the top tier for the birthday girl to blow out her candle.

Lady Bug Cake
Customer didn't want to have the cake covered in fondant, only buttercream. But I suggested to have just a little so I can put on some cute cute expressions for the birthday girl. Both mom and daughter were sooo happy with the result.
My First iTouch Cake
The time and date on the screen is the actual birthdate and birth time for the birthday girl. Her parents just gave her an iTouch as her Grade 7 graduation present and apparently she's on it 24/7. So mom decided to order an iTouch cake for her!
